Bottom Line Courier is currently seeking a
ENTRY LEVEL
1st shift, and 2nd shift Dispatchers/Customer Service Specialists. This position has multiple functions within the company. The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets and prior work experience. 1st Shift Ability to work Monday - Friday 1st shift hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm or Similar 2nd Shift Ability to work Monday - Friday 2nd shift hours of 3:00pm to 11:00pm or similar The initial first two weeks of training must be flexible on availability and hours of training/start time will vary based on the day. Must have basic to intermediate level experience working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).iOS apps a plus Strong customer service orientated nature with excellent verbal and written communication. Assertive personality with ability to use logic and reasoning to quickly identify solutions and make informed decisions based on client/customer or drivers requests. Experience working with multiple computer screens and utilizing 2-way dispatch system to communicate with drivers. Taking customer orders by phone or on-line, confirming accurate information and coordinating those orders evenly to drivers based on location, time sensitivity of the order and confirming the orders on the specified driver for pick up and delivery. Following up on driver status and updating the order in the system for arrival/departure times along with delivery completion and getting the POD name to close out the ticket. Must be organized and able to multi-task in face paced call center environment with multi-line phone system and drivers checking in often via 2-way dispatch system. Geographical knowledge for cities in the State of Indiana and surrounding States will be helpful in routing drivers, mapping distances for pick up and delivery along with back hauls when drivers are heading back to Indianapolis to find near by loads for them to transport on the return trip. Knowledge in administrative or clerical office procedures to include scanning documents, attaching to orders via the system, managing files and records, copying and uploading documents along with faxing quotes/rate information sheets to customers upon request. Provide daily documentation and information at the end of shift to account for all customer orders/calls/driver updates. Must be able to manage one's own time with minimal supervision. Knowledge of working with BOL's is a plus. Knowledge of working on various Expediting or Transportation systems and load boards is a plus. Knowledge of AI systems a plus
