Client Services & Energy Assistance Coordinator $15.00 per HR / No Health Insurance Avail. About Us Good Samaritan Network (GSN) is a collaborative/network of nonprofits in Hamilton County. GSN utilizes two serving approaches, Direct and InDirect services, and in part is designed to ensure efficiency and communication among the different agencies, social services, nonprofits, local government, pantries, and businesses - as together we serve the needs of Hamilton County residents who are at-risk or underserved. Direct Services impacts those within our community who are underserved and at-risk and often involves an individual emergency or crisis intervention. Meeting the needs of people with life issues typically includes: food or shelter insecurity, financial assistance, education, transportation, and more! Holiday Assistance is one of our collaborative signature services. Job Objective Our nonprofit is looking to hire an Client Services Specialist / Administrative (with primary services in client assistance and support) who will be responsible to the GSN Administrative Assistant and the Executive Staff, and will also complete general office and assigned administrative operations. Duties will involve answering walk-ins and incoming phone calls; creating, updating, and reviewing client intake documents; and welcoming and greeting clients while providing resource options. This position involves support work for successfully overseeing the EAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program). To be a successful hire, we prefer prior experience in office and administration. You will also need to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word and Excel. Quickbooks. Client support and assistance experience is also valuable but not required. Position Summary The Client Assistance Support Specialist serves as one of the primary points of contact for individuals seeking assistance through Good Samaritan Network (GSN). This position provides compassionate, professional, and timely support while assisting clients through application processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating referrals and services. The position principally supports Indiana's Energy Assistance Program (EAP/LIHEAP) (Oct. - May) and assists with other client service programs, including financial and holiday assistance. Success in this role requires excellent organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a genuine desire to serve others with dignity and respect. Primary Responsibilities (but are not limited to) Energy Assistance Program (EAP/LIHEAP) Receive and process Energy Assistance applications, questions, etc. Review, organize, and maintain supporting documentation. Verify application completeness and eligibility requirements. Ensure files are accurate, organized, and compliant with program guidelines. Meet required application processing timelines. Complete required training, workshops, and program updates. Maintain accurate records and reports. Client Assistance Welcome and assist clients with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Help individuals understand, complete applications, gather required documentation, and confirm it. Explain available services and provide appropriate referrals. Maintain confidentiality of all client information. Communicate respectfully with individuals experiencing life-crisis situations. Office Administration Positively answer and direct phone calls. Professionally monitor and respond to voicemail and email. Positively welcome office guests and provide direction and support. Scan, copy, file, and organize documents. Maintain accurate electronic and paper records. Utilize office software and databases for data entry and documentation. Team Collaboration Work closely with GSN leadership, staff, and volunteers. Place importance on teamwork and a positive office culture. Assist with seasonal programs and special events as requested. Support project preparation, follow-up, and administrative tasks. Help maintain a positive, welcoming office environment. Essential Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate: Compassion, empathy, and professionalism. Technical Skills Preferred experience with:

• General office equipment (copier, scanner, printer, phone system, Dymo printer, etc) Internet navigation and web-based applications

•Training will be provided for Energy Assistance software and other internal systems. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in client services, customer service, or nonprofit organizations. Experience working with confidential information. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Work Schedule This position generally works Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Flexible scheduling may be approved based on staff and organizational needs. Additional hours may be requested during seasonal programs, including Energy Assistance, Holiday Assistance, emergency response efforts, and special events.
