A Customer Service Representative interacts directly with customers to answer questions and solve problems. Communicates with customers in person, over the phone or online. Provides help with troubleshooting technical problems for equipment or software. Keeps records of customer communications and transactions.
To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; complete transactions, explain products and services, setup new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people or department.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assist members with opening accounts, answer questions about products and services and resolve problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refer problems beyond their authority to the appropriate staff member. Receive and process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, credit and debit card requests, loan payments and shared branching transactions. Welcome members to the Credit Union and provide routine information regarding products and services, answer account inquires and direct members to appropriate staff/department for additional information. Post and maintain transactions for member accounts; use various systems for IRA's, ATM, credit and debit cards, online and mobile banking, bill-pay etc. Balance cash drawer and daily transactions. Open, close, and maintain various accounts including business, IRA, trust, POA, Coverdell, money market, certificates of deposit, club accounts, etc. Process dispute and fraud claims, ACH originations and terminations, stop payment requests, and EFT records. Handle basic account functions such as ordering checks, ATM and debit cards, and verifying/updating member contact information. Process mail and night deposits under dual control. Have a general working knowledge and annual training of BSA/AML.
