Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to work in our main dealership offices. A variety of duties is entailed in this position, from accounts payable to some warranty submission. We are a 100+ year old automotive group and a locally-owned business, run by family. We will train the right person; but any experience in the field would be preferred. Automotive Office Clerk - Essential Duties Tabulates and posts data in record books. Compiles records and reports. Computes wages, taxes, premiums, commissions and payments. Records orders for merchandise or service. Greets and assists visitors. Provides information to customers, claimants, employees and sales personnel. Interviews dissatisfied customers and adjusts complaints or refers customer to appropriate dealership employee for resolution. Prepares, issues and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements and checks. Receives, counts and pays out cash. Prepares stock inventory. Operates office machines such as computer, typewriter, adding machine, calculator and copier. Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence and prepares outgoing mail. Purchases supplies. Maintains professional appearance and neat work area. Other tasks as assigned. Skills Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in dealership management software or warranty claim systems preferred Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, parts, and service processes is a plus Ability to work collaboratively with team members across departments Prior experience in automotive administration or warranty processing is advantageous and preferred. Reynolds experience a plus. Experience with GM and/or Ford a plus.
