Job Description
Overview As a member of the Freightliner Custom Chassis team, you are responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on products using proper service procedures and technics. The candidate for this position will have a passion for process improvements, a keen eye to detail, and love numbers. Leading with the Daimler Values of passion, respect, integrity, and discipline is an absolute must. What You Drive at DTNA Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Diesel and gasoline engine fuel systems. Automotive electrical systems. Automotive air conditioning/cooling systems Diesel and gasoline engine fuel systems. Diesel engine alarm and shutdown systems. Should possess some "mig" and "tig" welding experience. Should be versed in the use of oxy/acetylene cutting outfits. Knowledge You Should Bring The position requires the employee to read and interpret discrepancy and parts shortage reports and provide appropriate repairs according to FCCC procedures. Due to customer demands, this position is exempt from the daily overtime requirements of the FCCC Overtime Policy. Must have a High School Diploma Good driving record required and a current commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months. Must be willing to travel upon short notice and work flexible hours. Must provide own tools. Exceptional Candidates Might Have Two-year associate degree in automotive mechanics/technology preferred with three to five years of service/repair experience. Electrical experience is a plus.
