Company Overview The Prescription Shop is a locally owned pharmacy that specializes in prescriptions and home medical equipment. Summary We are seeking a Home Medical Equipment Customer Service Technician to join our team at The Prescription Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers in the store and on the phone with medical equipment orders. You will also be responsible for obtaining the medical records and orders to assist in the proper billing of the equipment. Lastly, there will be a small amount of assisting patients at the register for medical equipment and general pharmacy transactions. Responsibilities Ability to communicate with patients in a professional and appropriate manner. Assist patients that walk in or call with their medical equipment orders and questions. Requesting documentation from doctors for medical equipment billing purposes. Call outs to patients about compliance issues for medical equipment. Organizational skills to keep the orders straight. Problem solving skills to help resolve issues that arise. Good listening skills to help properly address issues and needs that arise. About 10-15% of the total time helping on the cash register to ring up customers for prescriptions & home medical equipment. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in medical equipment preferred. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in customer support or service roles is highly desirable. Proficient in data entry and basic computer skills.
