CUSTOMER SERVICE/OFFICE & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Plant Nursery About Us:
Ammon Nursery is a legacy business dedicated to providing a variety of high quality plants to horticulture professionals and the public. At Ammon Nursery, we take pride in our expertise, customer service, and dedication to growing exceptional plants. We are looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Associate to join our team! Our busiest seasons (spring and fall) require excellent customer service and multitasking. During slower times, you'll have the opportunity to work on marketing projects, social media, website updates, and other initiatives to grow the business.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service Greet customers Assist customers with plant selection, care, and maintenance advice Use Ammon Nursery's internal inventory system to answer customer questions about products, inventory and to determine availability Ability to answer questions and direct outside employees on 2 way radio Create a Pick Ticket for customers to use as a shopping tool Invoice and take payment from customers when plant material and other items are selected and loaded Answer high volume 3 line phone system and provide information Add plants that need to be dug to the provided list and schedule Schedule deliveries Recommend additional services and/or products Follow-up with customers regarding pending orders Understand nursery, farm and planting locations Support farm staff for sales Utilize the Ammon Nursery website to offer plant suggestions or alternatives Maintain a clean, and organized sales area Other duties as required
MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI TASK
Skills Required:
Ability to communicate clearly, politely and effectively with all customers, vendors, and other nursery staff in person and by phone Basic knowledge of plants (or willingness to learn) Ability to handle stressful or busy situations efficiently Experience with computer systems is needed, but our unique systems will be taught Other duties as needed
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY
Creating Facebook and Instagram content Taking photos and short videos of plants and displays Weekly hot list email Helping develop creative ideas to engage customers online Social media and marketing experience is a plus, but not required
FULL TIME POSITION 8-4
30 Mon-Friday Saturday 9-2 (Minimum 2 Saturdays per month required during busy season Spring & Fall)
