Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information with excellent phone etiquette Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash, credit/debit card transactions, and balancing registers at shift end Assist with merchandising by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting Support inventory management through stock checks and participating in regular stock replenishment activities Provide outstanding customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally in a retail grocery environment Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions confidently Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities or team support roles Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos enhances sales performance Ability to handle busy periods with professionalism while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in lively environments and enjoy helping customers have positive shopping experiences.
