We are preparing to onboard new clients for small-business accounting and 2026 tax preparation and are looking for a Client Services Coordinator. This is an in-office, customer-facing position for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, providing face-to-face support, coordinating office operations, and assisting with accounting and tax-related needs. Position Summary:
The Client Services Coordinator will support the day-to-day operation of our local office while providing professional, face-to-face service to clients and administrative and accounting support to the team. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities. Strong end-user computer skills are required, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn and work effectively across multiple software systems for office task management, workflow coordination, accounting, and tax preparation. A background in finance data (e.g. accounting, project control, etc.) is strongly desired, along with an interest in supporting bookkeeping and tax preparation services.

Coordinate day-to-day office functions, including receiving visitors, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, managing office supplies, and supporting an organized and professional work environment. Serve as a primary in-office point of contact for visitors and clients, providing professional, face-to-face service and assistance. Perform general accounting and bookkeeping activities for small-business clients, including financial data entry and maintenance of supporting documentation. Support tax preparation by collecting, organizing, reviewing, scanning, and filing client documentation and assisting with tax-preparation processes and electronic systems. Communicate directly with clients to obtain financial and tax data and documentation, answer routine questions, and coordinate follow-up activities. Use Microsoft Excel and multiple software platforms to support accounting, tax preparation, task management, workflow coordination, and client service activities. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive client, employee, tax, financial, and company information. Create and post professional social media content for platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, including accounting tips, tax information, bookkeeping best practices, and other relevant business content. Triage and manage multiple email Inboxes, distribution lists, and other modes of communication to assist staff with prioritized action items and follow-up communications. Support corporate wide action item tracking and closure. Assist the CEO and administrative team with business operations, client support, special projects, and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship (Based on the nature of the work in support of government clients and agencies.) Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administrations, Finance, or a related field and at least one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal communication, writing, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Experience supporting small-business bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, tax-preparation, or project control activities. Experience with multiple accounting and tax software platforms. Working knowledge of DCAA compliance requirements and related accounting standards. Audit background and development of audit procedures for internal QA processes Experience creating and posting professional social media content for Facebook, LinkedIn, or similar platforms.
Schedule:
Business hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This position is regularly scheduled for four 8-hour days (32 hours) per week, with a fifth workday or extended hours required as needed based on business needs, particularly during tax season.
