Job Description
Overview:
Work is performed in service office within the shop of a busy construction equipment dealer operation with communication involving customers, service technicians, parts personnel, vendors, and other branches. Experience in a Dealership service environment is required with heavy/construction equipment dealership experience preferred. Pay will be dependent on experience.Routine tasks include:
Warranty Submit inspection forms (or electronically process) in a timely manner, as required by manufacturers Notify all individuals responsible for performing inspections and ensuring information is received in a timely manner Process all warranty claims providing detail as required Recoup all allowed monies from manufacturer when repairs are complete Review credits from manufacturers and credit departments to maintain correct warranty account balances Inform manager of modifications due and keep abreast of deadlines for completion Correspond with manufacturers pertaining to warranty issues Return warranty parts for proper parts credit; notify manager of returns and verify returns Inform Store Manager of claims denied or unreasonable credit given Send pre-end-of-warranty letters to customers Provide necessary information to manufacturers pertaining to Warranty Department Follow up to ensure warranty registration has been complete on sold units Process warranty start (paper or electronic) for units being placed in rental service Service Administration Run and review Open Document report to ensure timely closure of tickets Maintain Paper and Data Files utilizing various PC software applications Input work detail on service invoices Verify time and mileage is accurately recorded on service invoices Obtain purchase orders and service authorizations from customers Communicate with Service Manager to ensure timely closure of service invoices Communicate with Customers as to work progress, payment, explanation of billing Distribute store or corporate initiated communications to service personnel Communicate with central office staff regarding all administrative issues Utilize AS400 system Service, Equipment, Rentals, POS, Archive, and Manufacturer menus Issue and Track Purchase Orders, Monitor Expenditures Process and Verify Coding onCompleted Purchase Orders Job Type:
