Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and willing-to-learn "tearista" to join our team, serve, and spread the message of our first of its kind Modern tea brewery! Work with us on informing customers about our No Sugar, No Preservatives, No Single Use Plastic, 8 Step, 12 hour brew process in order to create the perfect tea. We serve a wide range of teas from Blacks to Greens and from Mate's to Hebals. The open concept garage door creates a fun outside/inside work environment. We LOVE our customers and pride ourselves on them leaving feeling better than when they walked through the door, so we're looking for an outgoing and friendly demeanor, and a desire to get to know customers. Good Salesman techniques also add to the fun of this job, informing, educating, and showing the customers tea in a way they've never seen it before! Responsibilities
  • Serve and inform customers on a diverse selection of teas, soups, and grab & go meals.
  • Sample teas and soups to first time and recurring customers, in order to leave the customer feeling satisfied with their visit and choice.
  • Provide recommendations on tea choices based on customer preferences and needs.
  • Maintain cleanlines and organization of the front of house (bar, tables, chairs, etc.)
  • Stock bottles of various sizes, check the bottles for imperfections (water marks, chips, etc.).
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and experience, being able to answer any questions a customer may have regarding the tea.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • You are responsible for the customer leaving feeling enlightened on our sustainable and first of its kind brew process.
  • The preparation and packaging of to go items (avocado toast, granola bars, breakfast frittata). Skills Required
  • With application to this job you will learn about the different types of tea we serve, their benefits, caffeine levels, and our first of its kind brewing technique.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to learn and share our process with customers in a passionate and explanatory way.
Nice-to-have:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Barista or service experience
  • Familiarity with tea culture and history
  • Appreciation of sustainability and protecting the Earth from single use plastic.
  • Appreciation of healthy lifestyles and eating habits.
