Responsibilities:

You will help keep freight moving by coordinating customer orders, tracking shipments, communicating updates, and working closely with dispatch and operations to resolve issues before they affect service.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and provide timely, professional shipment updates.
• Enter customer orders accurately and completely into the transportation management system.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries and coordinate special customer requirements.
• Track and trace active shipments to identify delays or service concerns before they become larger problems.
• Monitor on-time pickup and delivery performance and prepare tracking reports.
• Communicate closely with dispatchers, drivers, rail carriers, and terminal partners to resolve operational issues.
• Advise customers of delays, accessorial charges, or other exceptions affecting their freight.
• Build strong customer relationships by responding promptly and following through on commitments.
• Partner with operations and the revenue team to support customer retention and business growth.

Qualification:

• 1 year of previous customer service experience; transportation, logistics, warehousing, intermodal, or import/export experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer, data-entry, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain accurate in a fast-paced environment.
