Job Description

Responsible for ensuring correct cash collections and disbursements within the Collections Department. Work is performed under the supervision of the Treasurer. No supervision is exercised over other employees. Collects payments and answers questions from the public via the window. Responds to collection inquiries via the telephone. Prepares and researches refunds because of overages on taxes. Processes customer payments received in the mail or through lock box. Helps other departments as needed. Ability to use basic computer software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to communicate with customer on a professional level. Ability to keep accurate records and back-up to enforce solutions to problems. Basic math skills. High school diploma or equivalent. One year of previous customer service experience.
