Our company is in search of a dynamic team member, offering a choice of at least 20 hours and up to 40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week, your choice. The schedule and number of hours will be consistent each week for the total number of hours and days that you choose. Our organization moves at a fast pace throughout our day. We stand up to greet every customer with a smile and our full attention. We move for most of our shift escorting dogs, often speed-walking through our building , and earning approximately 10,000 steps per shift. we are up and down out of our seat all day long. Every team member cleans and completes physical duties; our facility is cleaner than an operating room. Our customers are fabulous! We love them and they love us. We go out of our way to make Paw Plaza an excellent, efficient, and easy experience for both our human and dog customers. Does this position sound perfect for you? Our best candidates:
MUST HAVE
at least 8 YEARS of CONSISTENT and
CONSECUTIVE
work experience. At least a high school diploma, college preferred. At least 18 years old. Mature adult who dislikes and discourages workplace gossip, non-productive complaining, drama, and immaturity. Dynamic peer leader who demonstrates and promotes high team morale. Proof of prior supervisory/management experience. Excellent skills in customer service, service recovery, and communications in-person, phone, and written. Understand the value of, and demonstrate good communication and teamwork. Confident to work independently and make decisions on your own following your training. Manage daily operations; ensuring a smooth workflow. Must be self-motivated and self-directed. This is a fairly solitary role; customers may be your only social interaction. Must talk to animals. MUST be able to clean up dog poop, dog urine, and dog vomit.

Are you a strong leader who can refrain from participating in non-productive complaining and gossiping? Are you proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Email? Can you stand up to greet every customer? Can you squat, bend, kneel, twist, reach above your head, and pick up 20lbs? If you are on unemployment, do you acknowledge that we report every missed interview, declined job offer, and work no-show? Do you enjoy working by yourself with only intermittent customers with whom to socialize? Can you pop up from your chair, greet a customer, speed walk down a 100ft hallway, descend a set of stairs, and then come right back up the stairs again to bring a dog to their owner? Can you do this potentially 15 times in an afternoon? Can you manage your own work day, prioritize a high volume of new tasks without feeling overwhelmed, and always find projects to work on during slower times? Can you immediately stand and smile at every customer, anticipate their needs, and give them your undivided attention with pleasantries and joyfulness? Are you strong enough to discourage a complainer with a phrase like, "that is unfortunate, I hope you are able to resolve it," and turn away to continue your responsibilities? We are open 7 days every week, including holidays. Can you work at least one weekend day, consistently, every weekend? Our shifts are morning 6am-1:30pm and evening. 1pm-7pm, not negotiable. Can you work either a morning or evening shift for 4-5 days every week?
