Position Summary:

Nourse Farms is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and reliable Commercial Grower Support Representative to support commercial customers through account management, proactive sales outreach, product recommendations, and practical cultural practice guidance. This role serves as a key resource for customers by helping them select the right products for their operations, providing general growing recommendations, coordinating support with internal experts when needed, and building long-term customer relationships. The position combines customer service, sales, and agricultural knowledge to support customer success and contribute to company sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support & Cultural Practice Guidance Provide customers with general cultural practice guidance related to Nourse Farms products and growing recommendations. Assist customers with questions regarding planting, maintenance, product selection, and production planning. Utilize existing technical resources and collaborate with internal subject matter experts when specialized support is needed. Help identify customer concerns and coordinate appropriate follow-up with production, R&D, or management teams. Contribute to customer education materials, growing guides, and technical resources. Gather customer feedback regarding product performance and communicate relevant information to internal teams. Sales Strategy, Account Management & Growth Conduct outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers to grow account revenue and identify new opportunities. Analyze customer purchasing history and recommend products that align with customer needs and business objectives. Manage a designated customer portfolio and maintain regular communication with assigned accounts. Support seasonal sales initiatives, promotions, and customer outreach campaigns. Maintain accurate CRM records and document customer interactions and follow-up activities. Assist with sales forecasting and departmental planning activities. Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer visits as needed to support relationship development and business growth. Business Operations & Cross-Department Collaboration Participate in sales department planning sessions and provide customer and market feedback. Work with marketing to support product information, promotional materials, and customer communications. Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure customer expectations are communicated and supported. Contribute to customer experience initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts. Independent Work & Decision-Making Responsibilities This role requires independent discretion in: Prioritizing customer needs and account activities. Recommending products and sharing established cultural practice recommendations. Adjusting sales approaches based on customer feedback and purchasing trends. Managing customer follow-up and relationship-building activities. Escalating complex cultivation, production, or technical concerns to appropriate internal experts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in horticulture, agriculture, business, sales, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in customer service, sales, horticulture, agriculture, or a related field preferred. Familiarity with fruit, berry, nursery, greenhouse, or agricultural production practices preferred. Prior customer service, sales, or account management experience preferred. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and provide excellent customer service. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general business software. Ability to communicate growing recommendations and product information clearly and effectively. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
