Position Overview TPG Risk Management is seeking an Insurance Customer Service Representative to support and service our commercial and personal lines clients. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, confident on the phone, and committed to delivering an outstanding client experience. We prefer candidates who already hold an active Property & Casualty (P&C) license. However, we are open to motivated individuals who do not currently hold a license and are willing to obtain their Maryland P&C license within 90 days of hire. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, solving problems, building relationships, and working as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Client Service & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for commercial and personal insurance clients. Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels professionally and promptly. Answer coverage questions and provide policy guidance within licensing and agency guidelines. Deliver timely follow-up and exceptional customer service. Assist clients with basic claims reporting and provide guidance throughout the claims process as appropriate. Policy Servicing & Account Support Process endorsements, certificates of insurance (COIs), evidence of insurance, and other routine service requests accurately and efficiently. Maintain organized and accurate client records within the Agency Management System (AMS). Review policies for accuracy and coordinate corrections or updates when needed. Assist with marketing submissions, quote comparisons, renewals, and new business opportunities. Market and quote personal and commercial insurance accounts with carrier partners when appropriate. Account Development & Retention Identify opportunities to round out accounts and address potential coverage gaps. Support client retention through proactive communication and problem-solving. Assist producers and agency leadership with renewal preparation and client reviews. Promote a positive client experience that strengthens long-term relationships. Team & Carrier Collaboration Build and maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and agency partners. Collaborate closely with team members to ensure a consistent and efficient client experience. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to expand insurance knowledge and service capabilities. Qualifications Preferred Active Maryland Property & Casualty Insurance License. Previous experience in personal lines, commercial lines, or insurance customer service. Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems. Willingness and ability to obtain a Maryland Property & Casualty License within 90 days of hire if not already licensed. Plus Factors Experience working in an insurance agency or related customer service environment. Familiarity with Agency Management Systems (AMS), Applied Epic, or AMS360.
