Job Overview CirrusDx is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team in Rockville, MD. The Customer Service Representative with emphasis on laboratory billing supports accurate and timely laboratory billing by reviewing billing documentation, validating patient, client, test, order, and payer information, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating billing-related follow-up with clients, patients and internal team members. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, strong analytical and organizational skills, and consistent adherence to company confidentiality, privacy, and data security policies and procedures. Laboratory Billing Responsibilities
- Review laboratory billing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and payer requirements
- Validate patient demographics, client information, test orders, diagnosis information, payer details, authorizations, and supporting documentation before claims are submitted
- Investigate billing discrepancies, claim rejections, and denials; document findings and coordinate corrective action with the appropriate internal teams
- Monitor claim status, outstanding balances, and follow-up activity to support timely reimbursement
- Communicate professionally with clients, patients and internal team members regarding billing questions, missing documentation, claim status, and resolution requirements
- Prepare billing status reports, discrepancy summaries, and supporting documentation for review
- Maintain accurate billing records and processing documentation in accordance with company retention, confidentiality, privacy, and data security requirements
- Stay current on applicable payer guidelines, billing procedures, and internal policies, and escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate team member Preferred Qualifications
- Data Analytics degree or a related field
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to review, reconcile, and maintain accurate billing records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn laboratory information systems, billing platforms, payer portals, and related software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
