Job Description
Position Summary We are a family-owned automotive repair shop looking for a dependable, organized, and personable Administrative Assistant/ Customer Service Representitive to help keep our office running smoothly. This is an entry-level administrative position focused on supporting our team with basic office tasks while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment. Our shop operates with a direct, team-oriented communication style, so the ability to accept constructive feedback professionally, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude is essential. This position also offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth. For the right individual, there is potential to receive hands-on training and develop into a Junior Service Writer role, learning the fundamentals of customer service, vehicle repair coordination, estimating, and shop operations. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner Schedule appointments and update the shop calendar Receive customer payments and process transactions File paperwork and maintain organized records Enter basic customer and vehicle information into our management system Respond to emails and assist with general correspondence Maintain a clean and organized reception area Assist with office duties, including copying, scanning, and data entry Support the service advisors and management team as needed Learn basic shop operations and assist with administrative tasks that support the service department Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently Reliable attendance and punctuality Customer service experience is preferred but not required What We're Looking For Someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through on tasks Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and the automotive service industry Ability to receive constructive feedback professionally and use it as an opportunity for growth Emotional maturity and resilience to work in a fast-paced shop environment where communication is often direct and focused on solving problems efficiently Interest in developing new skills and taking on additional responsibilities over time A dependable team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude Growth Opportunity We believe in promoting from within whenever possible.
