Why Harbor Farm:

Cozy holiday vibe, small friendly team, paid training, free wreath + employee discount, and we invite great seasonal employees back each year. About Us Harbor Farm has been making Maine Christmas wreaths for 40 years. Each holiday season, our little shop in Ellsworth comes alive as we handcraft and ship thousands of wreaths to customers all over the country. It's busy, festive, and fast-paced — and we're looking for friendly, detail-oriented, computer-comfortable people to join our seasonal office team. What You'll Do Answer incoming calls, take phone orders, and help customers with questions Enter new orders and make changes to existing orders quickly and accurately Reply to customer emails and online inquiries through Zendesk Help solve straightforward customer and order issues Research and verify addresses to make sure every wreath gets where it needs to go Use spreadsheets, PDFs, browser-based tools, and multiple order systems throughout the day Double-check order details and help catch mistakes before they become problems Work closely with the rest of our office and shipping team during our busiest weeks What We're Looking For Friendly, patient, and comfortable talking with customers on the phone Very comfortable using computers and switching between multiple programs and browser tabs Sharp attention to detail — accurate names, addresses, dates, and order information matter Organized and able to keep track of several things at once Comfortable looking for an answer and solving routine problems independently Reliable and able to work consistently throughout our short Christmas season Able to stay calm, pleasant, and focused when things get busy Prior experience with customer service, office work, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, or online order systems is helpful, but not required. We'll train the right person. A note about the computer side of this job: This is a very computer-heavy position. Throughout the day, you'll move quickly between several programs, browser tabs, PDFs, spreadsheets, email, and web-based tools — often using multiple systems to complete a single customer request. Each program has a different purpose, so you'll need to learn which tool to use for which task and be comfortable switching between them without getting lost. You do not need prior experience with our specific software, but you should use computers regularly, be confident navigating a web browser, and be comfortable learning and working in several programs at once. What the Season Is Like October starts relatively calmly while you learn our products, systems, and processes. Then November gets busy. Phones are ringing, emails are coming in, customers are changing orders, and thousands of Christmas wreaths are moving through the building. The days go quickly, everyone pitches in, and there's a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the season. We'll train you before the rush so you're ready for it. Why Work With Us? $23/hour Paid training Monday-Friday daytime schedule, 9-5 Small, friendly, hardworking team Cheerful holiday atmosphere Free Harbor Farm wreath Employee discount No nights or Sundays Great seasonal employees are invited back year after year
