Job Description
Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in South Portland, Maine. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, handling account and payment questions, and working accurately with data in a fast-paced office setting. The role requires strong communication skills, confidence using computers and spreadsheets, and the ability to support both service-related inquiries and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming customer calls and provide timely, attentive assistance with service-related questions and concerns.
- Process billing transactions, accept payments, and help resolve account discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Enter and update customer orders and account information in internal systems while maintaining complete and accurate records.
- Use Microsoft Excel to review figures, organize data, and support routine reporting or account follow-up activities.
- Make outbound calls as needed to gather information, confirm service details, or follow up on customer requests.
- Deliver a positive customer experience by addressing issues efficiently and communicating clearly with clients and internal teams.
- Support office operations by managing multiple tasks throughout the day while meeting service and administrative expectations. Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service, call handling, or a similar client-facing position.
- Ability to manage billing, payment processing, and account-related inquiries with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with computers and comfort working in Microsoft Excel for data entry and numeric review.
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a detail-oriented business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a dependable, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to stay organized, multitask effectively, and work onsite Monday through Friday.
- Previous sales or business development exposure is a plus.
