Cashier/Customer Service Associate

Position Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is essential in delivering the helpful, neighborly service Ace Hardware is known for. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and is comfortable using computer systems for transactions and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with purchases Accurately process transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash, credit/debit, and Ace Rewards Handle returns, exchanges, and special orders in accordance with store policies Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-end area Answer phone calls and assist customers with product inquiries and store information Support other store departments as needed, including merchandising and stocking Promote store programs, sales, and promotions to customers

Qualifications:

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills and attention to detail Strong computer aptitude required , including the ability to quickly learn and navigate POS systems, inventory lookup tools, and other store software Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and a team-player mindset Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Comfortable moving throughout the store as needed Why Join Us?
