Customer Shuttle Driver / Shop Support Motor City Euro Repair is looking for a dependable, friendly, and professional Customer Shuttle Driver to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in maintaining a clean environment, and is comfortable driving a variety of vehicles. No automotive repair experience is required. Responsibilities Drive customers home or to work and pick them up when their vehicles are ready Pick up and deliver automotive parts as needed Keep the customer waiting area, front office, entrance, and other customer-facing areas clean and presentable Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of shop vehicles and shuttle vehicles Perform extended road tests of customer vehicles when requested by a technician Pay attention during road tests and report warning lights, unusual noises, vibrations, odors, or other obvious concerns Assist with other light shop-support duties as needed Provide every customer with friendly, professional service Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Safe, responsible, and confident driver Excellent people and communication skills Professional, clean appearance Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions Comfortable driving different makes, models, and sizes of vehicles Able to treat customer vehicles and personal property with care Basic ability to recognize dashboard warning lights or obvious vehicle noises Ability to work independently and stay productive between driving assignments Automotive knowledge is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with good judgment, strong attention to detail, and a genuine desire to take care of our customers and our facility. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to get into and out of a vehicle without assistance, including ability to operate/drive a vehicle. Driving a Manual/Standard/Stick vehicle is a plus. Must possess a valid and clean US Driver's License and ability to drive with passengers. Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to perform physical maneuvers for various tasks in the shop, such as sweeping, pushing a floor cleaning machine, reaching high and low with hands/arms, and other full body movements as needed to complete the job. Skilled and able to interact with customers in a professional manner for the purpose of answering general customer questions in person and completing shuttle rides. Skilled and able to read/write english on a computer and on paper. Skilled and able to perform basic counting and math. Ability to perform major and fine motor skill movements in the process of using various tools and techniques for the purpose of repairing and servicing vehicles.
