Note:
This posting is for a role with the City of Muskegon. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with a controlled climate where they sit and work on a computer, communicate by telephone, email or in person, and move around the office to travel to other locations. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move items of light weight. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. If assigned to the Clerk's office, the employee is required to work extended hours, travel between polling sites, set up and tear down election equipment, and must lift and/or move items of moderate to heavy weight during elections. OFFICEPROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT EXAM
- Pass/Fail
- To evaluate keyboarding (35 wpm), data entry, proofreading, alphabetic filing, numeric filing and basic math knowledge, skills and abilities. Oral Examination
- 100% The selected candidate must take a post-offer medical examination (including back screen and complete physical) and drug screening test given by a City appointed physician before the first day of employment.
