Zeman's Bakery is a family-owned and operated kosher bakery that has been serving the Detroit community since 1927. We're growing our Front of House team and are looking for friendly, dependable people who enjoy working with customers and being part of a fast-paced team. We are hiring multiple team members and scheduling interviews immediately. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.

Pay:

$16.00-$18.50/hour, depending on experience What You'll Do Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service Assist customers with selecting and purchasing bakery items Take orders in person and over the phone for cakes, pastries, breads and other bakery items Operate our POS/register and process customer transactions Help customers with pickup orders and resolve basic customer concerns Tray, package and label baked goods Restock products and keep displays looking great Assist with opening and/or closing responsibilities Keep the front counter and customer areas clean, organized and running smoothly Follow our food safety, quality and kosher procedures — training is provided Work together with the rest of the team during busy periods What We're Looking For Friendly, upbeat and comfortable working with customers Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Able to work quickly while staying organized and accurate Strong communication skills Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed Attention to detail and willingness to learn Previous customer service, retail, restaurant or bakery experience is a plus, but not required Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
