Job Description
Who You Are
The Technical Specialist - Customer Service Proposals will be responsible for coordinating the development of proposals that focuses on addressing solutions and options that are specific to each customer's needs for Customer Service business including Spare Parts, Rebuild, Service and Training. It is also the responsibility of the proposal group to ensure accuracy and efficiency in Customer Service proposals while identifying methods to drive down costs.
The ideal candidate is a customer-focused, problem-solver, with a "service first" mindset and exceptional communication skills.
How It's Done Read and interpret customer specifications to create after market quotes.
Coordinate and conduct review meetings with project team and sales once PO is received.
Master technical product knowledge (BOM).
Draft accurate proposal documents using Microsoft Word and Excel (Macros).
Develop cost grids that define material and labor costs. Interface with FANUC America Corporation engineering, purchasing, product data management and material planning group as required.
Solicit quotes from FANUC America Corporation vendors.
Initiate strategies that lead to cost reduction and process improvements. Interface with customers as required. Recategorize spare parts based on customer risk. What You Need Associate's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum two years of relevant experience in material management, inventory control, sales, or similar field.
Proficiency in office applications including MS Windows, Excel and PowerPoint. What Would Be Even Better Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Oracle experience. It's Your Move
