Lumber Yard Customer Service Associate

Siwek Lumber - Customer Service/Cashier We're looking for a reliable and friendly Customer Service/Cashier to join our team. This role involves greeting customers, showing customers product locations, helping customers at checkout, handling transactions, answering phones, and keeping the front counter area organized. You'll also answer basic questions and help direct customers around the yard when needed.

Needed Skill Set:

Good customer service and communication skills Basic math and ability to handle transactions Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of building materials and home improvement Answering questions to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

Position Overview:

This task will include greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner as they come into the store. Assist whether the person is DIY shopper or a pro customer, and assist accordingly. Bring customers to the proper salesperson in the store.

Core Responsibilities:

Some of the core responsibilities are handling incoming calls, with an answer to questions or getting them to the proper salesperson. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and showroom.

Performance Standards:

While working at Siwek we look for strong skills, friendly patience, and attentive to our customers' needs. Having someone with proficiency in using our POS system and google documents to check stock and enter orders into our systems. Having the ability to work on a schedule that may include early mornings or occasional Saturdays. We are looking for a cashier to have a fast response to customers' requests and are eager to assist customers with their needs and projects.

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
