The Role As our Inside Sales & Order Management Specialist, you own the lifecycle of complex B2B orders from purchase order through invoice. You'll be the central connection among our customers, our foundry floor, and our outside vendors, coordinating value-added services such as painting, heat treating, and machining, and ensuring every shipment goes out accurately and on time. This is a senior position with decision-making authority. You'll resolve order discrepancies, judge when something needs to go up the chain, and figure out which of three urgent requests gets handled first. What You'll Do Own technical order management. Review incoming purchase orders for accuracy before entry and resolve any discrepancies with the customer.
Keep ERP data clean:
routing instructions, terms and conditions, bill-to and ship-to details, and Product Master records. Coordinate outside vendors. Issue purchase orders to partners handling painting, heat treating, and machining. Track parts through those vendors, manage the relationships, and raise performance problems directly, including value-added scorecards and on-time delivery. Be the customer's point of contact. Answer questions about engineering change requests, inventory levels, and production timelines. Open ECRs and stay on them until they're resolved. Handle tooling and daily processing. Enter tooling orders, evaluate customer-owned tooling for obsolescence and coordinate returns, process Advance Shipment Notices, complete daily invoicing, and track on-time shipment KPIs. What We're Looking For 3-5 years of customer service experience. Manufacturing or logistics background strongly preferred. If you understand how a part moves from raw casting to finished product, or you want to learn, tell us. Experience with ERP systems, bills of lading, or industrial logistics is a significant plus. High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or a related field preferred. Solid with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfortable working in database systems. Able to write a clear email to a customer and talk through a problem on the shop floor.
