Full Job Description Contract Customer Service Representative Location:
100% Onsite, Monday-Friday in office (New Hope, MN)
Schedule:
8:00 AM - 4:30
PM Employment Type:
Long-Term Contract (minimum 4-6 month commitment)
Compensation:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Overview Beacon Hill Staffing's client is looking for a Customer Service Representative to support order processing, customer inquiries, and administrative functions within a busy order management environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple computer systems while providing exceptional service to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is computer-savvy, a quick learner, and enjoys working with a highly engaged and collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Process and enter customer orders across multiple platforms and systems. Handle inbound customer calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. Review, update, and maintain customer orders to ensure timely fulfillment. Access purchase orders and supporting documentation through internal systems. Enter sample requests and support various order entry activities. Assist the Order Management team with daily reporting and order maintenance tasks. Research order exceptions, identify processing errors, and apply appropriate corrections. Work closely with internal departments to resolve order-related issues and improve customer outcomes. Communicate effectively through email and Microsoft Teams regarding order status, questions, and escalations. Support urgent order requests, changes, and cancellations. Maintain accurate customer and account information within company systems. Provide backup assistance for additional order processing workflows as needed. Qualifications Previous customer service experience in a professional office, business, manufacturing, distribution, or related environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable managing a high volume of emails and daily customer interactions. Ability to navigate multiple computer screens, systems, and applications simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently. Professional phone presence and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Preferred Qualifications Experience with order entry or order management processes. Experience using JD Edwards (JDE), Esker, or similar ERP/order entry systems. Experience supporting customers in manufacturing, distribution, or product-based organizations. Experience processing orders for state or federal government accounts.
