Job Description
About us Millennium International is an FAA-certificated avionics repair station in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and a HEICO company. We repair and overhaul avionics for airlines, operators and MROs across the United States and around the world. About 50 people. About this job You are the voice customers hear. When an operator sends us a unit, you are who they call to ask what is wrong with it, what it will cost, and when they will get it back. Getting them a clear answer quickly is the job. No aviation experience required. We will teach you the products and the process. What you will do
- Handle customer emails and calls about repairs in progress. Most of our customer communication happens by email
- Build quotes in AvSight once a unit has been evaluated, and get them out to the customer
- Follow up on open quotes and approvals so units are not sitting on a bench waiting on an answer
- Answer status and turn-time questions, and give customers a straight answer when a date is going to move
- Work with the shop, purchasing and shipping in Slack to keep repair orders moving
- Keep customer communication and order records current in AvSight so anyone can pick up where you left off
- Support customers in different time zones, including international accounts Our systems We are a Mac shop. Our ERP is AvSight, an aviation platform built on Salesforce. Outlook is where most customer communication happens, and Slack is how we talk to each other internally. If you have not used these before, that is fine. We will get you up to speed. What we are looking for
- Extreme attention to detail. A wrong part number or a missed date on a quote costs a customer real money
- Critical thinking and an eye for patterns. Noticing that the same unit keeps coming back, or that what a customer is telling you does not match what the system says
- Organized, and able to follow a process the same way every time
- Strong written communication. A large share of this job is email, and clear writing is the skill that matters most
- Composure on the phone. Some days are busy and some calls are not pleasant. When an aircraft is down, people are not at their best. You need to stay level and keep it from becoming personal
- Dependable and steady
- High school diploma/with work experience
- 2 year associates degree Nice to have
- 4 year Degree
- Customer service, inside sales, dispatch, or service writing experience in any industry
- Aviation, aerospace, or another regulated field
- Any experience with AvSight, Salesforce, another CRM or ERP, Slack, or working on a Mac Schedule Full time, on site in Lee's Summit.
