Biloxi, MS
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR
CLIENT
SERVICES MANAGER HOURS
Full-time Monday-Friday:
40 hours weekly. 8am - 5PM Monday - Friday usually. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
SUMMARY:
Provides language assistance to all Spanish-speaking clients across all agency programs, including victims of human trafficking in the Hispanic community. This position also offers court advocacy, case management, and outreach education. Additionally, it provides transportation for adult and child residents of the emergency shelter program.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 years old and fluent in Spanish. High school diploma or GED required. Experience in working with social service agency preferred. Ability to be empathetic and skilled in active listening Must be able to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups of clients. Ability to express complex information and ideas both verbally and in writing. Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of the clinical team. Ability to work within agency mission, philosophy, and policies/procedures. Must have a reliable vehicle and meet agency driving policy requirements, including a valid driver license and proof of required automobile insurance. Travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
CLINICAL DUTIES:
  • Conduct initial assessments for clients to determine resource needs
  • Facilitate client development of social supports, safety plans and service plans
  • Collaborate with other community partners and social service agencies to seek and obtain services for clients
  • Accompany Spanish-speaking clients to community appointments to provide language assistance
  • Provide client transportation as needed to community locations
  • Collaborate with all program staff to carry out effective services to clients
  • Make appropriate client referrals for continued services upon discharge
  • Conduct support and life skills groups with clients
OUTREACH DUTIES
  • Collaborate with community organizations that primarily serve Hispanic clients
  • Maintain office hours as designated community organizations to provide onsite services
  • Provide outreach education to community organizations on dynamics of HT, SA, and DV
  • Provide outreach education to community organizations on agency services and how to access these services.
AGENCY COMPLIANCE
  • Adhere to the agency's confidentiality policies, maintaining a high-level standard of confidentiality
  • Report any known or suspected child abuse to immediate supervisor
  • Report any suspicious activity or persons
  • Attend and participate in agency staff meetings and trainings
  • Report to work on time as scheduled
  • Maintain a valid driver license and proof of required automobile insurance
  • Perform all other duties and/or participate in special projects as assigned by direct supervisor or Chief Executive Officer.
OTHER DUTIES
  • Participate in hurricane evacuation and facility preparation.
  • In case of emergencies and extreme circumstances, will be required to assist with 24-hour shelter coverage
  • Work in conjunction with other program components and staff to ensure effective communication of agency and client concerns, recommendations, and need
Pay:
$19.23 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
