With eighty years of experience, our company prides itself on providing exceptional customer service and a wide range of products to meet the needs of contractors, homeowners, and seasonal visitors alike. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Inside Customer Service Representative to join our team. This paid position involves engaging with customers primarily via phone and digital channels to provide outstanding support, process orders, and facilitate effective communication. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and technical proficiency to ensure a seamless customer experience. This role is vital in maintaining our reputation for reliable client service and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides outstanding customer service. Maintain Inventory. Point of Sale.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct customers on the sales floor
- Operate POS terminals
- Put away stock
- Assist in daily store opening and closing procedures
- Actively engage in increasing knowledge of industry, products, customers and sales techniques
- All other job-related activities assigned by
Supervisor Experience/Skills:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of building products and how they are sold. Detailed knowledge of specific product area is a plus (i.e. windows, doors, decking, framing material)
- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Proficient with POS systems (building supply specific a plus)
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Building products knowledge and/or sales experience
- Ability to handle stock weighing up to 60lbs.
- Ability to stand and be mobile for prolonged periods
