Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Service Advisor at Deacon Jones Auto Group (Master) plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by efficiently managing the service process for new car dealership clients. This position involves acting as a liaison between customers and the service department, providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair, and ensuring that all services are performed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers promptly and courteously, listen to their concerns, and provide expert advice on necessary services and repairs. Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow to ensure timely completion of all service tasks. Prepare detailed estimates for repairs and maintenance, explaining the costs and benefits to customers. Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and efficient repair of vehicles. Maintain comprehensive records of all services performed, including parts used and labor costs. Communicate effectively with customers throughout the service process, updating them on the status of their vehicles and any additional recommendations. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Promote additional services and products that enhance vehicle performance and longevity. Uphold the dealership's standards for quality and professionalism in every interaction with customers and colleagues.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in automotive technology or related field preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably within an automotive dealership. Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and providing exceptional customer service. Experience with automotive service advising, including familiarity with vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and scheduling of service appointments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in using dealership management software and standard office applications. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose customer concerns and recommend appropriate solutions. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment. Knowledge of automotive systems and components, with the ability to explain technical information to customers in an understandable manner.
