Job Description

Overview Northline NC sells and repairs industrial equipment across various industries. This position interfaces with internal salespeople, and external customers, to respond to customer service responsibilities in a timely manner. We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued clients, delivering exceptional support and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism. Salary $18-$22 hourly depending on experience. Responsibilities Customer Service/Data Entry with Shipping and Receiving duties: Prior customer service experience required Handle customer service inquiries via telephone and email Detail oriented and a quick learner Use computerized systems for tracking and communicating information, quoting customers, and entering pertinent customer data. Excellent communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment Shipping parts (must be able to lift up to 50lbs) Receiving parts from customer and from vendors Answer phones and assist customers Enter customer purchase orders Match received orders with the correct purchase orders Check the status of outsources/approve outsources Create purchase orders in GP knowledge of receiving purchases in GP The successful candidate will maintain quality service by following policies and procedures, while demonstrating effective listening skills and have a high attention to detail Ability to handle a variety of front office tasks Ordering of parts as needed. Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, providing clear and efficient assistance. Manage customer accounts by updating information accurately through data entry and systems. Assist clients with product or service questions, troubleshooting issues, and resolving complaints efficiently. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to build rapport with diverse clients. Requirements Prior experience in customer support required Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data entry. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to listen actively and respond empathetically. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
