Job Description

Job Summary ​We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Customer Service Specialist to join our team. In this dual role, you will prepare outgoing shipments using FedEx and UPS systems, generate box labels for finished goods, and ensure orders are packaged accurately and shipped on schedule. Additionally, you will provide essential administrative support through order data entry and direct customer service assistance. ​Key Responsibilities ​Shipping & Packaging Logistics ​Create, print, and apply product and box labels for finished goods to prepare items for inventory and shipment. ​Prepare, process, and print shipping labels using FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and internal order management systems. ​Verify shipment accuracy against packing slips, purchase orders, and item labels prior to dispatch. ​Package products securely to ensure safe transit during transport. ​Schedule daily pickups and manage outgoing handoffs with FedEx, UPS, and other carriers. ​Track active shipments and resolve carrier delays, delivery exceptions, or lost package inquiries. ​Customer Support & Data Entry ​Accurately enter incoming customer orders, shipping details, and billing information into internal databases ([e.g., QuickBooks / ERP / Excel]). ​Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone or email regarding order updates, tracking numbers, and general questions. ​Maintain clean electronic shipping records, finished goods labeling logs, and daily documentation. ​Support general office and logistics tasks as needed during peak volume. ​Qualifications & Skills ​
Experience:
1-3 years of experience handling shipping/receiving, warehouse logistics, product labeling, or data entry within a manufacturing environment. ​
Software & Equipment Skills:
​Proficient with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip. ​Experience operating thermal label printers and label-making software (e.g., Zebra, BarTender, or native ERP/QuickBooks labeling tools). ​Proficient in data entry using software such as [e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems, or Microsoft Excel]. ​Fast and accurate typing skills. ​
Core Competencies:
​Exceptional attention to detail (critical for accurate part numbers, lot numbers, and shipping address labels). ​Professional written and verbal communication skills. ​Ability to balance physical packaging/labeling operations with administrative data entry tasks. ​
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to [e.g., 30-50 lbs] periodically and remain active throughout the shift.
