Job Description

Customer Service / Collections Agent
LOCATION
Whiteville, NC | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$15.00/hour to start, increasing to $22.00/hour upon permanent hire Flexible 8-hour shifts, Monday-Sunday, between 8:00 AM-8:00 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed End-of-month schedule: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM with two 1-hour lunch breaks Sunday dialer rotation: 1-2 Sundays per quarter, with additional shifts possible during month-end Holiday availability required for temporary employees
ROLE IMPACT
Help drive successful account resolution by providing professional customer service while collecting delinquent accounts. Success in this role is measured through consistent performance, quality customer interactions, achievement of collection goals, and accurate documentation while following established collection procedures. Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts using established collection guidelines and customer service best practices. Meet performance goals including call volume, successful contacts, payment commitments, and account resolution metrics. Negotiate payment arrangements based on customer circumstances and approved collection policies. Document all customer interactions accurately within the collection management system. Partner with leadership to escalate high-risk accounts requiring additional review. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of call center experience required. Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience required. High school diploma or GED required.

Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Collection management software Telephony and automated dialer systems
PREFERRED SKILLS
Bilingual communication skills highly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management, sound judgment, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
