This role includes assisting customers with chocolate selections, operating the register, packaging purchases, serving hor and iced tea beverages, maintaining the front of house, and hosting our signature afternoon tea experiences. Responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, and taking custom orders. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent customer service skills. Ultimately, your primary role is to ensure a pleasant experience for our guests. Pay will start at $15/hour, with a raise to $16 after a 1-month review. Applicant must be able to work the following hours: Tuesday through Friday, 10:30am-5:45pm Saturday 9:30am-4:15pm Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter Answer customers questions regarding ingredients Take orders while paying attention to details Serve beverages and package to order chocolates Assemble packaging and keep inventory stocked Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the retail area clean Assist kitchen staff as needed Able to describe all chocolates (shells and fillings) Comply with health and safety regulations Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Serving weekly tea parties Working on Canva and printing items Skills Previous work experience as a Cashier (preferred, not required) Knowledge of and strict adherence to sanitation regulations Basic math skills Ability to gauge customers' preferences Excellent communication skills High school diploma; relevant training is a plus Self-starter and proactive Computer skills Serve and bus tables for tea parties A short cover letter introducing yourself and your strengths is highly recommended.
