Cashier/Customer Service

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions, assist with inquiries, and contribute to a welcoming environment in our grocery store. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately. Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision and accountability. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively upsell items to customers. Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a well-presented store environment. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining professionalism. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and high standards of customer service. Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily tasks. Requirements Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a grocery store or retail environment. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using POS systems. Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls and inquiries effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Skills in supervising others are a plus, as well as the ability to upsell products effectively. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service are essential.
