Job Description
. Responsibilities (Essential):
- Process a variety of basic transactions for customers, without excessive differences or errors, while seeking opportunities to deepen existing customer relationships and identify sales opportunities. Including, but not limited to: o Basic account opening and maintenance; o Deposits, withdrawals, transfers; and o All Teller transactions including Vaults and ATMs.
- Navigate effectively through frontline software applications.
- Demonstrate ownership of customer problems or requests, following up to ensure effective resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Recognize and make referrals for loans, wealth, investments, insurance and other banking services, with support from more experienced team members as needed.
- Consistently meet established standards for first class customer service as outlined in the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Brand Best Practices guide.
- Understand and begin to contribute towards meeting branch goals in deposits, loans and other categories.
- Enthusiastically support the Bank's Brand Behaviors and Guiding Principles.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act.
- Comprehend and adhere to federal banking regulations in accordance with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust's policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in individual ROCK goal setting; works toward achieving individual, branch and department ROCKS as established. Responsibilities (Marginal):
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Education & Experience:
- Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent
- Banking, retail and/or customer service experience is preferred
- Active listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and acclimate quickly to changing priorities; multi-tasking
- Team orientation; working collaboratively with teammates to achieve greater results
- Honesty and integrity

General office environment. This role requires prolonged periods of standing and looking at a computer screen; repetitive motion of wrists and fingers, as well as reaching over the counter; talking and hearing; the ability to lift/move 50 pound coin bags.
