Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support online continuing education courses for a university in Hoboken, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized, and can provide dependable assistance to students and instructors in a virtual learning environment. The person in this role will help maintain smooth day-to-day course operations by handling routine inquiries, supporting online class sessions, and contributing to accurate course administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate assignments, papers, and exams in alignment with course standards and instructor guidance.
  • Support assessment activities by helping coordinate and oversee examinations when needed.
  • Participate in online class meetings and instructor office hours to stay informed on course progress and student needs.
  • Serve as virtual classroom support during live sessions by managing chat activity and assisting with Zoom facilitation.
  • Address general student questions related to coursework, deadlines, and assignment processes in a timely manner.
  • Route advanced academic or subject-specific concerns to the instructor when issues require deeper content expertise.
  • Compile concise weekly updates summarizing common student questions and support trends.
  • Review course content for inaccuracies or outdated materials and document items such as broken links or slide errors.
  • Assist with a range of administrative tasks that help keep online courses organized and running effectively.
  • Meet with instructors at the start of each assignment to confirm expectations for grading practices and feedback delivery.
