Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support warehouse-related customer interactions in Newark, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance service excellence with precise order and inventory coordination in a fast-moving operational setting. The role works closely with warehouse and administrative teams to keep customer requests, shipment details, and account records accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer order activity from initial entry through updates, changes, and cancellations while resolving purchase order inconsistencies.
• Respond to customer inquiries by providing timely details on shipment progress, stock availability, billing information, and expected delivery timing.
• Partner with warehouse and operations staff to help ensure orders are picked, processed, and shipped correctly within required timeframes.
• Maintain accurate data in warehouse and order management systems, including customer account details, transaction histories, and supporting documentation.
• Examine shipping and receiving information, monitor deliveries, and investigate issues when quantities, timing, or paperwork do not align.
• Create, review, and adjust invoices as needed, and work with finance teams to address billing concerns or required corrections.
• Document product damage and related exceptions thoroughly, keeping clear records for follow-up and reporting purposes.
• Produce routine inventory summaries and end-of-day customer updates while assisting with meetings, data entry, and other operational support tasks. Requirements
• At least 2 years of customer service experience, with around 3 years preferred.
• Background in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory support, or order processing is preferred.
• Strong ability to use Microsoft Excel and standard business software with a high level of data entry accuracy.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to organize competing priorities, solve problems efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with warehouse, operations, and finance teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
