The Customer Service Representative will support both customers and operations by proactively addressing inquiries, coordinating service needs, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure day-to-day processes run efficiently. This role also provides direct customer service and propane dispensing support at the bottle dock station. A successful Customer Service Representative is committed to service, efficiency, and safety.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Interact with customers by phone, email, or in person to provide support and product/service information, serving as a liaison between customers and the company Collect and enter orders for new or additional products or services Field customer questions and complaints; escalate issues beyond the representative's knowledge to the appropriate specialist or staff member Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and comments Provide customer service and propane dispensing support at the bottle dock station in accordance with safety procedures and applicable regulations Support daily operations through dispatch coordination and scheduling of drivers and technicians, while maintaining accurate records, reporting, and internal systems Assist with administrative and compliance-related tasks to support operational efficiency and business needs Perform other related duties as assigned The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 years of customer service experience Experience in high-volume phone call settings highly preferred Experience in the propane industry preferredSkills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Service-oriented, with the ability to resolve customer grievances effectively Must have or be able to obtain the LP-9 Station Dispensing Certification Proficient with computers and able to learn software as needed Proficient in the current Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn additional software toolsPhysical Requirements:
