Job Description
Animal Care Center in Fernley is looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional Client Care Specialist to join our front desk team. Our Client Care Specialists are an important connection between our clients, their pets, and our medical team. This position is a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, communicates well, stays organized, and can remain positive and professional in a busy environment.
SCHEDULE
Monday-Thursday:
2:30 PM-6:30PM Friday:
1:00 PM-6:30 PM Approximately 20-22 hours per week This is a consistent weekday afternoon schedule with no regularly scheduled weekends. Friday hours include participation in our weekly Staff Development Meeting. There may occasionally be opportunities for additional hours to help cover vacations or other planned staff absences. Additional coverage will generally be scheduled in advance.WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Client Care Specialist, you'll help provide an excellent experience for our clients from their first phone call through the end of their visit.Responsibilities include:
Greeting clients and pets and assisting with check-in and check-out Answering and directing incoming phone calls Scheduling appointments accurately Communicating with clients by phone, text, and email Responding to client questions and appropriately routing medical concerns to the veterinary team Processing payments and reviewing invoices with clients Relaying messages between clients and our medical team Maintaining accurate client and patient information Helping keep the reception and lobby areas clean, organized, and welcoming Assisting with end-of-day front desk responsibilities Pitching in and supporting other team members when neededWHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who: Provides genuinely excellent customer service Communicates clearly and professionally in person, on the phone, and in writing Is friendly and welcoming while maintaining professionalism Can handle multiple priorities without losing attention to detail Learns new computer programs and procedures quickly Remains calm and courteous when things get busy Takes initiative and looks for what needs to be done Is dependable and punctual Works well as part of a team Is comfortable interacting with both people and animals Understands that veterinary medicine can sometimes involve emotional or difficult conversations Is willing to learn and receptive to feedback and training Previous veterinary experience is helpful, but not required. Previous experience in customer service, reception, a medical office, hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced customer-facing environment is preferred.WHAT MATTERS TO US
