Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Service Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and the ability to analyze freight operations effectively. Responsibilities Coordinate daily transportation schedules and dispatch vehicles to ensure timely service delivery. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor fleet performance. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues. Analyze logistics data to optimize routes and improve efficiency in fleet management. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including vehicle assignments and service requests. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all transportation operations. Handle incoming calls using phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette. Assist with loading and unloading trucks with a forklift. Experience using a forklift a plus. Receiving equipment at warehouse and entering into data system. Requirements Proven experience in transportation planning or logistics is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Familiarity with transportation management systems is a plus. Ability to analyze data related to freight operations for decision-making purposes. Experience in fleet management is advantageous. Proficient typing skills for accurate record keeping and documentation. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential.
