We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service writer to join our team. As a Service writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rental service department. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate with customers, assess their equipment maintenance needs, and coordinate with our service.

Duties:

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
• Listen to customer concerns and document them accurately
• Perform equipment inspections to identify necessary repairs and maintenance
• Provide detailed estimates for repairs and services
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of work
• Communicate with customers regarding the status of their repairs, and services performed
• Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues in a professional manner

Skills:

Strong knowledge of equipment diagnostics

• Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within a dealership or auto service environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficient in using computer software for scheduling, invoicing, and record keeping
