Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic medical team as a Front Desk Receptionist, where you will be the welcoming face and first point of contact for patients and visitors. This vital role combines exceptional customer service with efficient administrative support, ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments. Verify patient insurance information, including health insurance knowledge related to Medicare and other plans, ensuring proper documentation review. Assist with medical billing and collections by processing payments, submitting claims, and following up on outstanding balances related to CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and Medicare requirements. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately while providing clear information to patients and staff. Support clinical staff by preparing documentation, reviewing care plans, and performing administrative tasks such as typing reports or updating patient files using Microsoft Office tools. Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while adhering to clinic policies on health information management and clinical confidentiality. Qualifications Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in compliance with HIPAA regulations; experience with clinical confidentiality policies is required. Pay:
