Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your energetic approach will ensure a seamless experience for clients, guiding them through service options, estimating costs, and coordinating repairs with our skilled technicians. Your mechanical knowledge and sales skills will help maximize service opportunities while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of our dealership, fostering trust and loyalty with every interaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, and more. Use estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and communicate costs clearly to customers. Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work. Maintain thorough records of service write-ups, client interactions, and repair orders using auto service management systems. Handle cash transactions professionally while ensuring all paperwork is complete and compliant with dealership policies. Experience Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or automotive repair shop. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diagnostics, collision repair, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignment, and suspension components. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively. Previous experience in auto sales or upselling services is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, transmission work, and auto body repairs enhances your ability to assist clients comprehensively.
