About the
Role:
The Logistics Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact between customers, carriers, and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for managing order flow, coordinating transportation activities, maintaining shipment accuracy, and ensuring customers receive timely updates regarding inventory and delivery status. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.Reports To:
Lead Logistics Customer Service Representative Core Responsibilities Customer Support & Communication Serve as a primary contact for customer inquiries related to orders, inventory, and transportation. Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and customer requests. Provide updates regarding shipment schedules, delivery timelines, and inventory availability. Communicate service interruptions, delays, or scheduling concerns to customers and internal teams. Order & Inventory Management Enter and maintain customer orders with a high level of accuracy. Process inventory transactions and depletion activities within company systems. Research inventory requests and assist customers with stock-related inquiries. Review order details to ensure compliance with customer requirements and service expectations. Transportation Coordination Schedule inbound and outbound freight with approved carrier partners. Arrange pickup and delivery appointments while monitoring shipment progress. Work closely with transportation providers to resolve scheduling challenges and service issues. Track shipment activity and provide status updates as needed. Documentation & System Administration Generate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and related transportation paperwork. Support Advance Shipping Notification (ASN) processes and customer-specific requirements. Maintain accurate records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and customer portals. Verify data accuracy and ensure all transactions are completed in a timely manner. Team Collaboration Partner with warehouse personnel to ensure customer orders are processed and shipped accurately. Assist in coordinating special customer requests and operational priorities. Follow established company procedures, service standards, and inventory control processes. Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and logistics operations. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computers, including email applications and Microsoft Excel. Ability to learn and navigate warehouse and transportation management systems. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Previous logistics, transportation, customer service, or warehouse administration experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to remain seated and work at a computer workstation for extended periods. Frequent use of a keyboard, telephone, and office equipment. Occasionally lift files, office supplies, or boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to move throughout office and warehouse areas as needed. Capable of remaining calm and productive while managing high-volume workloads or time-sensitive situations. Work Environment This role operates primarily in an office setting located within a warehouse facility.Employees can expect:
