Job Purpose:
The Service Writer at Vance Group serves as the essential link between our valued clients and our skilled auto technicians. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure a seamless and satisfactory experience for customers by effectively managing communication and coordination throughout the vehicle repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between clients and auto technicians, ensuring clear and effective communication. Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle issues with professionalism and care. Explain necessary repairs and associated costs to clients in a clear and understandable manner. Schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times and optimal service delivery. Provide accurate estimates for repair services, maintaining transparency and trust with clients. Communicate repair status updates to customers regularly, ensuring they are informed throughout the process. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns promptly and maintaining a high standard of service. Collaborate with auto technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of vehicle repairs.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or automotive training is a plus.
Required Experience:
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in an automotive or service-related industry. Experience in using automotive service software and systems for scheduling and communication.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise between clients and technicians. Ability to assess vehicle issues and explain necessary repairs and costs clearly to customers. Proficiency in scheduling appointments and managing time efficiently to ensure smooth workflow. Skill in providing accurate estimates and maintaining transparency with clients regarding repair status. Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction and building long-term client relationships. Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and handle unexpected situations with professionalism. Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair processes to facilitate accurate communication.
