Customer Service Representative

JOB SUMMARY
The Rural Metro Fire Customer Service Representative (CSR) will focus primarily on account updates, customer service, communication, and special projects. There may be additional duties assigned such as customer call management or direct customer service. This position will have performance benchmarks and production expectations that will be monitored by the direct supervisor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
. Answer calls; return calls; and assist in office customers by providing customer service by resolving issues, answering questions, processing transactions, and providing information on products or services. . Maintain detailed records of interactions within membership billing system. . Participate in outbound calling for billing collections. . Demonstrate strong verbal communication and active listening skills. . Provide professional customer service with members, patients, insurance companies, employees and any other individual who may contact the business office. . Interact with other staff members to resolve problems and must ensure that all communication is positive and productive . Schedules priorities to meet deadlines as determined by management . Adherence to and compliance with company policies and procedures involving confidentiality and information systems security. . Occasionally opportunities for cross training will be available, it's expected that the CSR team will help when needed. . Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
.High School Diploma Skills:
. Microsoft Office Suite . Medical/Fire terminology helpful . Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required . Bilingual is a plus. . Type 35 wpmExperience:
. One (1) years healthcare customer service experience preferred . Experience in public safety or medical services . Experience with urgent and emergency services preferred . Experience in a call center environment customer service preferredSchedule:
. Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Office . Starting pay $22.00Available Company Benefits:
