SERVICE WRITER

Columbia River Moto — St. Helens, Oregon Columbia River Moto - St. Helens is looking for an experienced, motivated Service Writer to join our growing powersports dealership! If you know motorcycles, ATVs, and side-by-sides and enjoy working with customers, technicians, and service departments, we want to hear from you.

THE POSITION

As a Service Writer , you will be the primary point of contact between our customers and service department. You'll be responsible for writing service orders, communicating with customers, selling service work, coordinating with technicians, and making sure every customer has a great experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet customers and accurately understand their service needs Write detailed repair orders and document customer concerns Inspect units and recommend necessary maintenance and repairs Provide accurate estimates and communicate costs clearly Sell maintenance, repairs, accessories, and additional services Schedule and coordinate service work with technicians Communicate repair status and completion times to customers Review completed work with customers and explain repairs Maintain organized and accurate repair orders Help keep the service department moving efficiently Coordinate parts and service needs with the Parts Department Follow up with customers regarding recommended repairs and future maintenance Maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude Help ensure every unit leaves the shop properly repaired and ready to ride

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We're looking for someone who: Has powersports industry experience or strong mechanical knowledge Understands motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs/side-by-sides, and their maintenance Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is comfortable selling service and repairs Can work effectively with technicians Is organized and able to manage multiple repair orders Can accurately explain technical issues to customers Takes pride in doing the job right the first time Is dependable, motivated, and works well in a fast-paced environment Has a positive attitude and wants to be part of a growing team
